For this I was given many video clips and was told to create a complex video using them. I learned how to use freeze frames, moving text, sound effects, time changes, video effects, L and J cuts, and captions for this project. The hard parts of this project was learning all these new tools, the easy part was compiling the clips. Overall, I enjoy editing videos more than I enjoyed editing audio.
When working with video clips rather than images I had to choose a starting point and an ending point, which made it more difficult. The hard part of this project was finding the right times in the right clips and doing the transitions was easy. Overall, I find premier pro interesting and can see how it is a useful skill to have while pursuing a career.
For this project I was given video clips and was instructed to compile them into a video. While working with videos, it was different than working with images since I had to cut the videos down to the right length. The difficult part of this project was shaving the many videos I had into one 20 second video. The easy part for me was adding the transitions since it was very simple. Overall, I do enjoy using Premier Pro since working with videos allow for more detailed work than working with simple images.
For this project I was instructed to use stock video footage to make a video based on a theme. I decided on the theme "A Trip To The Beach" because I found many stock footage of the ocean and a beach and I love the beach. I did not do much differently while working with the images except for some of the videos I needed to rotate it. The easy part of the project was finding the video footage, the hard part was compiling it together and finding music that fit. I enjoyed this project and enjoy working with premier pro.
This was my first project I have ever done using Premier Pro. I enjoyed it and found it simpler than I had expected. I didn't really have any struggles with Premier Pro and found pretty much everything easy. I did not need to use any of the tutorials listed since I have used similar programs in the past. I also synced the video to the music for the honors section of the assignment.
For this project I was instructed to make a unique character using vector pixel art which is something I have never done before and was excited to try. First I began by making the artboard and changing the settings so that I could use Adobe Illustrator for pixel art. I then used a reference image of a rough draft I had made for a different project awhile ago. I then created the basic shape of the character and colored it in using pre chosen colors I had chose earlier. I then added some shading and more colors to add detail to my character. I really enjoyed this project because I have never done pixel art before and I think I did a good job for my first time.
For this project I was instructed to make a movie poster for a movie I enjoyed. I decided to make a poster for the movie Inception because it is one of my favorite movies and I had an Idea for a poster. I used the pen tool to model a detailed looking handgun and added shading to it to make it look more realistic. I then made a bishop and the spinning tool used in the movie. I then realized I did not have much time left so I quickly used the shape tool to make a table and 2 skyscrapers. I then added a gradient for the background and used the text tool to add the title of the movie. I am happy with how this turned out although I do wish I had more time.
All in all, this was probably my favorite quarter so far. I got to learn how to realistically texture the models I make in 3Ds max and got to learn how to use Adobe Illustrator. I enjoyed using Adobe Illustrator much more than I did using Adobe Photoshop. It was much simpler and creating icons was much more fun rather than editing images and other projects we did using Photoshop. I learned how to use UV Maps and create more detailed textures for the 3D models I have made, which in turn adds another aspect to the models making them more appealing. In conclusion, I really enjoyed using Adobe Illustrator and being able to texture my 3D models and I hope that we do something similar in the final quarter.
In this project I was instructed to trace certain star wars logos using the pen tool. I was able to practice the skills I had gained from the pen game and put some practice in. Overall, I am satisfied with how these turned out and I enjoy using the pen tool and feel like it could be really useful in the future.
